3 Week Training Series
If you missed our “You and Your State Budget” Training Series last fall, don’t worry! We’re offering it again in a condensed format!
The UTST 3 Week State Budget and Lobby Training Series is designed for folks who’ve never been involved in a state budget and/or lobby process but are interested in learning more. The series will begin with a discussion of the ins and outs of state government, breaking down the decision making protocols that affect all of us. The first training will be followed by topics that include how you can impact or influence the decision making process, how to engage with local political officials, and why we need to bring working class people together across partisan lines to make local government work for everyone.
A focused media training session will be offered in February.

In this session we’ll review the timeline of the state budget process and who the important decision makers are in state government.
Tuesday, Jan 24 7:30 pm CST/6:30 pm MT
In our second session we will go over strategies and tactics to get your issue included in the state budget discussion and to move leaders to action.
Tuesday, Jan 31 7:30 pm CST/6:30 MT
In this session we’ll cover how to set up meetings with and lobby important decision makers.
