We’re in the final days of the 2023 Utah legislative session—now is our chance to end the tax on groceries and give Utahns more bread. Working Utahns are the foundation of our economy. Skyrocketing housing costs, inflation and stagnant wages mean that we’re working longer hours and still not making ends meet. The sales tax on groceries takes hard-earned money out of the pockets of Utah families.
Utah has a $3.3 billion budget surplus. Instead of tax giveaways to the wealthiest few in our state, we need the legislature to invest in working Utah families.
